Swasthya Saheli Program

In 40 underserved villages, Sampark has trained Swasthya Sahelis, or women health workers, providing them with intensive education on common diseases and their treatments. After receiving intensive training, these health workers were provided with health kits to help prevent illnesses and treat prevalent conditions in their communities. A partnership with the government health department ensures a steady supply of essential medicines for the Swasthya Sahelis. 50 Swasthya Sahelis received training in reproductive and gynaecological health, enabling them to offer immediate care and support to village women when government health workers are not present. This initiative not only strengthens community health but also promotes women’s leadership in healthcare, fostering a supportive environment for reproductive and general health education.
